He is a licensed contractor, owner of the modular construction business Extraordinary Structures, and a consultant on alternative housing solutions and policies. Zane is a coordinator and founder of nationally recognized business accelerator and networking program, MIX. He is the co-founder and a board member of MAKE Santa Fe, a community makerspace. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Trustees for the Santa Fe Art Institute and the Northern Area Local Workforce Board in New Mexico.
