MAKE Santa Fe is a community workspace where people can access tools, resources, and workshops to make, repair, invent, or create anything they can dream of. We maintain an inventory of 3D Printers, Laser Cutters, Welders, Woodworking Equipment, Ceramics equipment, a Blacksmithing Forge with a Power Hammer, Metal Casting Furncaes, a 5′ x 9′ Plasma Cutter, two CNC routers, and so much more!

“That’s awesome! But how does it work?”

Step One: Take a Tour
Step Two: Get a Badge
Step Three: Grab a Membership

We recommend that anyone interested first tour our space any Friday at 6 p.m. During the tour, we’ll happily answer any questions you have. After you’ve toured our space and your creativity is brimming, you can sign up for a membership online and schedule your first shop introduction badge.

“Badge? What’s that?”

Every Maker must take an orientation class (what we call a “Badge”) to gain access to our shops. We offer 3D Printing Badges, Laser Cutting, Woodshop Badges, Metalshop & MIG Badges, Plazma Cutter Badges, Ceramics Badges, Casting, Blacksmithing, and many others that ensure you know how to use the tools safely.

“Great! Can I use the space before I receive a badge?”

Yes! Before gaining your first badge, you’re welcome to use any of the computers, the worksurfaces, some hand tools, and other parts of the facility. However, you must take an orientation class (Get a Badge) to use our studios.

“OK. What if I already know how to use the equipment?”

We ask that everyone take the orientation badge class, even if you’re an expert. Our orientation classes explain how MAKE operates and what we expect from our members.
