Intermediate MIG Welding
September 13, 2023 @ 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
This is a technical class full of pro-tips with tons of hands-on welding and instruction to improve your MIG welds. We’ll review safety and equipment to be sure you’ve got the best information to make choices as you set up- helmet type and adjustments, various glove advantages, material props, work stations, light, welder set-up. In addition, you’ll learn how to cut with a hand-held plasma torch and get a refresher on the chop saws, horizontal bandsaw, bench and angle grinders to prepare steel to be welded.
We recommend bringing scraps of the kinds/shapes of steel you want to get better at working with, but we’ll provide material to experiment with as well.

- Metal shop tools refresher
