Ceramics, one of the oldest and most captivating art forms, offers a unique blend of tactile, creative, and meditative experiences. If you want to express yourself, create functional items for your home, or want to explore a new medium, the Make Clay Ceramics studio is all you’ll need. This class is required for use of the ceramics studio at Make Santa Fe. A Make Santa Fe membership is also required.

What you’ll learn:

• General Clay Studio Safety
• The use of ceramics studio tools, including the pottery wheel, slab roller, extruder, and wedging table.
• Glazing and Glaze Room procedures.
• Clay studio policies for storing, drying, and reclaiming clay.

What to bring to this class:

Proper attire is mandatory!

1. Close-toe shoes.
2. Your apron (if you have one.)
3. Water bottle.
4. Snacks
