Kristin Welch

My artwork can be considered 'modern craft'. The majority of my work is realized through ceramics and mixed-media. I am continuing to explore the idea of playing with art. I have been making series of hexagons and recognizable objects such as clouds or pencils for the ‘viewer’ or participant to move and play with juxtapositions of these art objects. I love the idea of other people experiencing the joy of creating with my art. I want it to feel like fine art meets public art.
