Power Tool Racer Build Day

Are you looking to compete in our annual power tool race? Looking for some guidance or shop time at Make Santa Fe? This is your opportunity!
We’ll host an open shop on June 30th, the day before the races. This is an opportunity for anyone to check out our space and refine (or build!) their power tool racer.
We’ll set up a test track for the serious at heart so your tool can pull a few laps in preparation for the races!
Checklist for Building a Racer
- A Power Tool
- Chassis materials like wood, steel, plastic, etc
- Extra wheels from things like rollerblades, children’s bikes, or office chairs.
- Racer decorations like streamers, paint, glue, sparklers, old toys, etc
- Ingenuity & Curiosity.
