Power Tool Racer – Build Day

Are you looking for time to build your power racer at Make Santa Fe? Come to our official build day to get inspiration, help, and an opportunity to meet your competition!
We’ll host an open shop on June 28th, one week before the races. This is an opportunity for anyone to check out our space and refine (or build!) their power tool racer.
We’ll set up a test track for the serious at heart so your tool can pull a few laps in preparation for the races!
Checklist for Building a Racer
- A Power Tool
- Chassis materials like wood, steel, plastic, etc
- Extra wheels from things like rollerblades, children’s bikes, or office chairs.
- Racer decorations like streamers, paint, glue, sparklers, old toys, etc
- Ingenuity & Curiosity.
