BADGE – 3D Printing

January 4 @ 10:00 am 2:00 pm

If you can imagine a shape, there is a good chance you can create it with the push of a button using 3D printing. Intricate patterns, useful gadgets, tools, jigs, and molds are common in 3D printing, but your imagination is the most significant limit. Browse printables.com to get ideas before attending this certification course.

What you’ll learn:

Attendees will learn the basics about FDM printing, filaments, 3D models, and everything else you need to start your first print. We will cover relevant terminology, how to load filament, how to “slice” models for printing, how to adjust and optimize settings in the slicing software, and other operational procedures for 3D printers. If you would like to use your own computer loaded with PrusaSlicer, please bring that with you.

Please note:

Students 16 years of age and up can be unaccompanied; ages 12-15 must have a guardian also enrolled in the class.  Minors must have parental permission and a signed waiver (ask us).

About the instructor:

He has designed Django-based websites & file-encryption systems, designs in CAD and CAM- especially Fusion 360, fabricates with CNC milling, 3D printing, electronics, microcontrollers and other manufacturing techniques. He enjoys integrating modern technology into traditional concepts in projects.
