Every day at Make Santa Fe, I watch something remarkable happen: someone walks through our doors and makes something that didn’t exist. They exercise creativity, passion, grit, and determination to invent and make. They do this because they want to, not because they’re required or because they need to. They do it for the sake of making.
They do it because making changes us. Making provides an outlet, an opportunity, and expression.
On this Giving Tuesday, I want to share a simple truth that sits at the heart of our work: everyone deserves access to the tools, skills, and community to help them grow. When someone discovers that they can learn something new and build something real, it creates a kind of confidence that extends far beyond a single project.
