The Hypertherm Powermax600 is a versatile plasma cutting system designed for precision cutting and gouging of conductive metals. With a cutting capacity of up to 5/8” (16 mm) on mild steel and a 40-amp output, this machine delivers clean, fast cuts for fabrication, prototyping, and repair projects.
Using compressed air or nitrogen, the Powermax600 produces a high-temperature plasma arc capable of slicing through steel, stainless, and aluminum with accuracy and efficiency. Its hand torch and machine torch options allow for both manual and mechanized cutting, making it a flexible addition to Make Santa Fe’s metalworking studio.
Key Features:
- Cuts up to 5/8” mild steel at 50% duty cycle
- Gouging capability with up to 2.5 kg/hour metal removal
- Operates on single or three-phase power (208–480V)
- Requires clean, dry compressed air at 90 psi
- Lightweight design at 47 lbs with torch
