Vinyl Cutter
The LaserPoint 4 Vinyl Cutter is a precision cutting tool used to cut adhesive vinyl, heat-transfer vinyl (HTV), stencil material, and other thin sheet media. It’s commonly used for signage, decals, labels, apparel graphics, and prototyping flat graphic elements.

Access Requirements
To reserve and use the LaserPoint 4 Vinyl Cutter, you must:
- Be a Make Santa Fe member
- Complete the Creative Printing Badge which covers the wide format printer as well as the vinyl cutter.
This tool is not available for walk-up use.
Reservation Rules
- Reservations are required and must be made in advance
- Time slots are booked in hourly increments
- Only one active reservation per member at a time
- Files must be fully prepared before your reservation begins
Reservations are for active cutting and setup time. Please arrive ready to work.
Materials & Vinyl
- Members may bring their own vinyl
- Select vinyl types may be available for purchase onsite
- Only approved materials may be used
- No paper, cardboard, or rigid materials
If you are unsure whether a material is appropriate, check with staff before cutting.
File Preparation Guidelines
- Vector files only (SVG, DXF, EPS, or AI preferred)
- All text must be converted to outlines
- No overlapping or duplicate paths
- Designs should be scaled to final size before import
Improperly prepared files may result in failed cuts and wasted material.
Usage Notes
- Blade depth and pressure must be set correctly before cutting
- Perform a test cut before running full jobs
- Clean the machine and work area after use
Members are responsible for their own material handling and cleanup.
