January 20, 1:00-4:30pm

About the course:  Create your own leather card carrying case! Whether you lost your wallet or just want to learn how to sew our Sewing Certification for beginners has you covered. Learn on a Juki Industrial sewing machine and get serger basics in one workshop.

When you’re finished with your fancy new case make your way to the other side of the building to personalize it with our Epilogue Zing laser cutter (certification required).

What you’ll learn: Attendees will learn how to identify machine components, thread needles, adjust stitch settings, change or replace bobbins, apply relevant terminology, troubleshoot and gather simple ideas for new sewing projects.

Please note: This certification is an overview of sewing machine usage and does not cover design-related instruction.

About the instructor: Jasmin Zorlu has a degree and background in Accessory Design. She recently taught millinery to fashion students at the Parsons School of Design as an adjunct Professor for 3 1/2 years in New York City. She has been making headwear for 25 years.
