August 9th from 1:00pm – 4:30pm
We all need them! Come learn how to sew your own facemask. First, we will teach you how to sew. Then, you will show us how it’s done by sewing a facemask for yourself.
What you’ll learn:
Attendees will learn how to identify machine components, thread needles, adjust stitch settings, change or replace bobbins, apply relevant terminology, troubleshoot and gather simple ideas for new sewing projects.
This certification is an overview of sewing machine usage. We will provide the materials for everyone to make their own facemask.
About the instructor:
Jasmin Zorlu has a degree and background in Accessory Design. She recently taught millinery to fashion students at the Parsons School of Design as an adjunct Professor for 3 1/2 years in New York City. She has been making headwear for 25 years.
*** All attendees must wear face masks and adhere to MAKE’s cleaning protocols. Thank you for your cooperation!
