Create your own drawstring bag and learn the how to use an industrial sewing machine. Get up to speed on our Juki sewing machine and cover serger basics in this introductory workshop.
What you’ll learn:
Attendees will learn how to identify machine components, thread needles, adjust stitch settings, change or replace bobbins, apply relevant terminology, troubleshoot and gather simple ideas for new sewing projects.
This certification is an overview of sewing machine usage and does not cover design-related instruction.
About the instructor:
Amy Prindle comes from a background in theatrical costuming, having worked predominantly at the Santa Fe Opera, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, and teaching workshops at Northwestern University and Roosevelt University. She is happiest when creating and growing, and loves spreading that joy and knowledge to others!
