Parent & Youth Membership
Make together. Learn together. Build skills side-by-side.
The Parent & Youth Membership is designed for families who want to actively create together at Make Santa Fe. This membership allows a parent or legal guardian to work hands-on alongside their child in our studios while maintaining our shared safety and learning standards.
Who This Membership Is For
This membership is intended for:
- Parents or legal guardians working with youth ages 12–15
- Families who want shared, supervised access to Make Santa Fe
- Adults who are ready to actively participate (not observe) from start to finish
This is a collaborative membership, not a drop-off program.
How It Works
Ages 12–15
- One parent or guardian membership is required
- The child does not need a separate membership
- The parent must be present and actively working with the child at all times
- Parents must hold the appropriate badges for any studio being used
- Youth may only use equipment under direct supervision of their parent
Ages 16–18 (Important Transition)
- Once your child turns 16 they must have their own Student Membership
- Teens may work independently in most studios.
- Parent membership is no longer shared
- Both the parent and teen must hold memberships if both wish to use the space
What’s Included
- Full access to Make Santa Fe during open hours for the parent member
- Supervised studio access for one child (ages 12–15)
- Access to classes, workshops, and events
- Eligibility to earn studio badges
- A supportive, safety-first creative community
What This Membership Does Not Include
- Drop-off or unsupervised youth access
- Independent studio use for children under 16
- Automatic access to restricted equipment without required badges
Safety Comes First
Make Santa Fe is a working makerspace. All participants must:
- Follow posted shop rules and safety procedures

Failure to meet safety expectations may result in restricted access.
