Hand Sewing for Mending & Repair


May 5th, 1:00 – 3:30pm

We are all about DIY. Being able to hem your own pants & skirts or mend rips in clothing are useful skills for anyone that likes to do things on their own. The excitement doesn’t stop there. You’ll be able to sew buttons and even fix your own clothing during this handy workshop.

What you’ll learn:

  • running stitch
  • back stitch
  • whip stitch
  • slip stitch

Please Note:
Attendees are encouraged to bring clothing that needs mending

About the instructor:
Jasmin Zorlu has a degree and background in Accessory Design. She recently taught millinery to fashion students at the Parsons School of Design as an adjunct Professor for 3 1/2 years in New York City. She has been making headwear for 25 years.
