Electronics are everywhere yet seem complex and off-limits, hidden inside enclosures with tiny screws and large safety warnings. This introductory course will provide a hands-on glimpse into this vast and mysterious world with a focus on projects for Makers that can be created with only a few hours of instruction such as basic robotics, DIY games, music, and electronics based art. If you’ve ever wanted a peek “under the hood” of the devices that surround us or wanted to quickly get over the hurdle of getting started in electronics and make something, this is the course for you.

What you’l learn:
This course will cover the basics of electronics needed to create projects like this including building simple circuits as well as integrating the popular and powerful control systems Arduino and Rasperry Pi. During the course, you will build a simple Arduino-based electronic project that can later be used as the heart of many other projects.

About the instructor:
Paul is a technical writer and trainer with years of experience presenting complex topics in fun, simple terms. He received an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of California, San Diego and has extensive experience in the field of audio test and measurement. His interests include robotics, internet of things (IoT), home automation, DIY websites, audio, Raspberry PI computing, sensors, music, and much more.
