Maker Highlight: Harold Brenier

Harold has been using the Boss laser to translate his illustrations into an exciting series currently on display at SITE Santa Fe for its SITE Scholar program. With existing work in sci-fi, medival, and 20’s era characters to choose from, the futuristic theme fits nicely, blending old world materials and new technology.

From his SITE bio: “Harold Brenier was born in France and has been working with a non-profit organization for the last 20 years, creating and running educational and support programs for children living in very low income communities in different parts of the world.

During the last 4 years, Brenier designed a traveling science exhibition program that is used by schools in the area of Gallup NM. He started taking drawing and painting classes at SFCC about a year ago in order to develop his illustration skills, with the goal to eventually provide his work to children’s book publishers.”

We’re looking forward to the evolution of his illustrations into more tangible works of art at MAKE in the coming months!
