Prerequisites!  Prior to this course, participants must attend a Make Santa Fe Orientation and sign the Makerspace Agreement and Waiver. No prior experience is required

Hand-sewing is a skill that everyone should have!  Have you ever wanted to hem your own pants or skirts? Mend rips in clothing? How about the best way to sew on a button?

We’ll be learning the following stitches: running stitch, back stitch, whip stitch, and slip stitch. Bring clothing that needs mending.

Cancellation policy: We offer a full refund if cancelled 48 hours prior to workshop. For cancellation on shorter notice, we extend account credit that can be applied to future workshops/events.

About the Instructor:

Jasmin has a degree and background in Accessory Design. She recently taught millinery to fashion students at the Parsons School of Design as an adjunct Professor for 3 1/2 years in New York City. She has been making headwear for 25 years.
