Experience the Thrills of Power Tool Racing at Make Santa Fe!

Get ready to unleash your inner speed demon at Make Santa Fe’s annual Power Tool Racing tournament, set to take place on July 1 from 2 to 6pm. This event is set to become the organization’s premier fundraising event! Attendance is free, but Make Santa Fe, a local non-profit, will raise money to help support its programming.

Power Tool Racing is a unique motorsport where modified power tools, such as chainsaws, drills, and angle grinders, have been transformed into high-octane racing machines. The event will showcase these souped-up power tools as they race head-to-head on a specially designed power tool drag strip..

Attendees will be treated to a heart-pounding spectacle as they witness these modified power tools’ raw power and blistering speeds… or fail spectacularly.

“We are thrilled to bring Power Tool Racing back to Santa Fe,” said James W. Johnson, the executive director of Make Santa Fe. “This event combines Maker ingenuity, and helps to showcase what’s possible Make.”

The Power Tool Racing event will occur at Make Santa Fe, 2879 All Trades Road, Santa Fe. Attendance is free, but Make Santa Fe will be collecting donations to help support their programming. .
