The Screen Printing Badge is a 4-hour introductory course designed to give members the knowledge and hands-on experience required to independently use the screen printing equipment at Make Santa Fe.
This class covers the full screen printing workflow, from artwork preparation to screen creation and printing, while emphasizing safe operation, proper setup, and shop best practices. Students will learn how to use the screen printing press and create their own custom screens using the laser cutter.
By the end of the class, students will have produced a printed project (t-shirt or tote bag), created their own screen using the vinyl cutter on the laser cutter, and gained the skills needed to confidently work in the screen printing studio on their own.
This badge is required for members who wish to use the screen printing equipment independently.
