Dive into the art of knifemaking in this immersive 4-week course, where you will learn both the foundational techniques and advanced skills needed to create your own custom knife. Over four sessions of hands-on instruction, you’ll work with a knife blank to craft a unique “kit knife” and gain valuable insights into bladesmithing using raw tool steel to practice forging a blade from scratch.
This technical class is full of pro-tips with tons of hands-on welding and instruction to improve your MIG welds. We’ll review safety and equipment to be sure you’ve got the best information to make choices as you set up- helmet type and adjustments, various glove advantages, material props, workstations, light, and welder set-up.
Get a broad understanding of a well-equipped wood shop while learning safety and basics through practice. In this course, makers will begin with un-milled lumber and process it through various wood shop machines to get hands-on experience with multiple tools in the shop, resulting in a mini hat rack to take home with them!

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at blacksmithing? Here’s a chance to learn the safety precautions, basic techniques, tools, and nomenclature to get you started.
Come and learn the age-old craft of knitting. Learn basic knitting terminology, how to Identify different stitches, how to cast on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, and how to bind off, and how to read simple patterns. We’ll cover the basic techniques of knitting which, with practice, result in many wonderful scarves, cup cozies, blankets, hats and more. It really helps to learn knitting IRL with an instructor watching and helping as you practice the techniques.
Our instructor, Elissa, will walk you through all the steps to create a tie-dye shirt, including tying, dyeing, and rinsing. Students will leave with their very own tie-dyed t-shirt!
