WORKSHOP: Knife Carving a Spoon

Sunday, March 2, 2025 @ 12:00 am 4:00 pm

Join us for a hands-on Knife Carving workshop where you’ll learn the art of transforming a simple wood blank into a beautifully crafted spoon. This engaging course is designed for both beginners and those with some carving experience. Under the guidance of our skilled instructor, you’ll explore various knife techniques, gain an understanding of wood selection, and develop your artistic style while creating a functional piece of art. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your very own hand-carved spoon and the confidence to continue your carving journey.

What You Will Learn:

  • Introduction to carving tools and their uses
  • Techniques for safely and effectively using a carving knife
  • Wood selection and preparation for spoon carving
  • Step-by-step process of transforming a blank into a spoon
  • Tips for finishing and polishing your spoon
  • Understanding wood grain and its impact on carving
