Monthly Maker Challenge Brainstorm – Fire Hydrant Decoration

Every month we’ll announce a new maker challenge and then get together to brainstorm ideas for how it can be completed.
We designed each challenge so makers could take part and complete the challenge with Make Santa Fe tools and equipment. Our goal is to galvanize the maker community and have a whole lotta fun while doing it!

The Goal: Decorate a Fire Hydrant
MAKE Santa Fe recently acquired many fire hydrants, and we’d like to put them to good use. But, before we do that, let’s put our maker mark on them! Weld, manipulate, paint, grind them… whatever you fancy! We’ll then display them outside MAKE Santa Fe!
