Tyler Brunstein
3D Printing Engineer
If you can imagine a shape, there is a good chance you can create it with the push of a button using 3D printing. Intricate patterns, useful gadgets, tools, jigs, and molds are common in 3D printing, but your imagination is the most significant limit. Browse printables.com to get ideas before attending this certification course.
Attendees will learn the basics about FDM printing, filaments, 3D models, and everything else you need to start your first print. We will cover relevant terminology, how to load filament, how to “slice” models for printing, how to adjust and optimize settings in the slicing software, and other operational procedures for 3D printers. If you would like to use your own computer loaded with PrusaSlicer, please bring that with you.
Students 16 years of age and up can be unaccompanied; ages 12-15 must have a guardian also enrolled in the class. Minors must have parental permission and a signed waiver (ask us).
Tyler Brunstein has over 6 years working in industrial 3D printing including the standard methods of printing such as FDM and Resin, and experience with metal 3D printers and laser sintered nylon powders. He’s active in the 3D printing community helping others get started and uploading free models to websites such as thingiverse and printables. Tyler says, “It’s amazing what can be done with 3D printing and the applications are growing by the day. Hopefully this class can spark inspiration and add another tool into your arsenal to make something awesome!”
