Artist Talk: Catherine Czacki

Join us at MAKE Santa Fe for a free Maker & Artist Talk the 1st Thursday every month at 6:30 pm. Please arrive early! This one was RESCHEDULED TO TODAY due to inclement weather.
Artist Catherine Czacki will present her artwork at 6:30 sharp with images and videos at this FREE event (donations appreciated) and opportunity to meet the artist! She teaches in our ceramics shop here at MAKE.
Catherine Czacki is an artist, writer and musician of Polish/Tatar and American descent. Czacki works across genres and mediums, from more conceptual approaches such as theoretical writing to poetry, ceramics, metal work, painting, sound, music, eco resin, paper mache and found objects. Czacki’s poetry, essays and academic writing have been published by Line Script Diary, Haunt Journal of Art at UC Irvine, and Interactions Journal at UCLA. Czacki’s art has been exhibited at galleries and museums – including Sculpture Center in Long Island City, New York, JOAN in Los Angeles, and Best Practice in San Diego. A full-length book of Czacki’s poetry and images titled Creosote was published in 2019. Additional fields of study are gardening, DIY repairing and building, herbalism, human, animal, plant, material relationships, organic communities and everyday histories or folklores.
