Make Santa Fe is proud to offer an advanced ceramics course in hand-building with this 4-week sculpture course.  Participants will delve into the rich tradition of form-making, merging personal expression with fine arts principles.  Through hands-on practice and guidance from our instructor, Catherine Czacki, students will emerge from this course with a deeper understanding of clay sculpture and a collection of unique and personally significant artworks. Handbuilding Techniques: Experiment with hand-building techniques, such as pinch, coil, and slab construction, empowering you to sculpt forms with depth and dimension.

Sculptural Concepts: Explore sculptural concepts and methods, learning to translate ideas into tangible clay creations that resonate with personal meaning.

Surface Decoration: Experiment with surface decoration techniques, including carving, sgraffito, and adding textures, to imbue your sculptures with visual interest and narrative depth.
