2025 is for Empowering Creators

Looking back on 2024 fills me with pride. It’s remarkable what the Make Santa Fe community has collectively achieved. We’ve created an industrial art space that welcomes everyone with open arms, is accessible to beginners and experts alike, and enables creators to pursue their projects in a well-equipped shop. Thanks to your invaluable contributions, Make Santa Fe truly sets the standard for makerspaces nationwide.

Our theme in 2024, ‘Community and Capacity Building,’ became a driving force that propelled us to new heights. We launched an artist/maker talks series that attracted artists to our space to showcase their work. We introduced new disciplines, expanded existing ones, and formed partnerships with schools, guilds, and other community-oriented organizations. We hosted over 30 high school students who learned blacksmithing, 3D printing, laser cutting, and woodworking. Thirty-four instructors shared knowledge with 950+ class attendees in 17 unique disciplines. And we’ve grown to 170+ members, many of whom volunteer weekly. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support, dedication, and community-mindedness of our members. We are deeply grateful for your contributions, thank you!

2025’s theme is “Empowering Creators.” Internally, we’ve been scheming and dreaming of ways to improve and expand the space, create new opportunities, establish new partnerships, and raise more money for new equipment. We’re doing this to enable makers like you to learn and explore creativity freely. However, these dreams and this space cost money.

Operating Make Santa Fe costs about $160 per member per month. Currently, a monthly membership is priced at $85. To sustain our operations and continue our mission, we need to bridge the gap of $75 per member every month. In other words, we need to make up a difference of about $12,000 monthly to keep the community thriving. In 2025, we aim to raise $18,000 from individuals like you. If we get the same response as last year, a donation of $45 per person would achieve that goal.

The best way to make a difference is by donating today.

As always, your donation is tax-deductible and directly supports our makerspace.

Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to creating with you at Make!
